Cork Developments

Feckin Dumplin bastards, ours won't be the highest accommodated building for long :

Construction on Dublin’s long-awaited Parkgate Street apartment development will begin in August, with its landmark 30-storey tower the first building in the scheme to break ground.

Developer Joe O’Reilly’s Chartered Lands is behind the project, located on the site previously occupied by Hickey’s Wholesale Fabrics warehouse and across the river from Heuston Station.

The main tower, known as Block A, will stand at 102m tall, making it the tallest building on the island of Ireland.

Substructure works for this element of the scheme will start on August 13, with the tower set to be built over a two-and-a-half year period from September.

Demolition works are listed as starting on Wednesday, April 22, with the existing storage warehouse to be knocked over the course of the next month.

All three blocks of the scheme are scheduled to be complete in April 2029.

Those Kerry bolloixes will just have to build that hotel on the bonded warehouses site

Speaking of, I was on Lavitts quay yesterday, stuck in traffic looking down towards Horgans Quay.
The new buildings look like stumps, unfinished, as if there is another 5-10 storys to add on to them.

I suppose, if you're gonna be working til you're 70, then lifting shit up 6 flights of stairs isn't gonna work Jimmy.
🤣🤣
What I mean is that back in the Tiger it took a seriously big and challenging project to justify a tower crane. The large Rotarys picked off most sites, even many hotels. The economy of scale must be different nowadays.
