a decade of fcuk arsing around by suits in Croke Park has ruined the minor grade, same was done to Feile previously, put Minor back to u18 and the sooner the better

I'm not too sure going back to u18 for IC minor is the right call now tbh.

We've seen numerous examples each year now of the best u18 players being well capable of having an impact at u20 level.

I'm not sure having them play another year at minor instead is progress.

Just means the standard at minor level will increase with lads being a year older which at that age is very important to development. Some players come on leaps and bounds over a year.
If minor goes to u18, u21 will likely be reintroduced also which is the right call. The gap from u20 to senior is far greater than minor to u20.
Even for ourselves it would’ve been great to have jack leahy and that group get one more year underage at inter county level. If you are good enough you should be playing senior though as we have seen.
It was initially changed due to players sitting the leaving cert but it’s a very small minority of u18s who are actually sitting the leaving cert while playing minor and far more currently in 4th year playing county minor which is very young.
The change back will only be good for the game.

Yes I agree. If minor goes back to u18 it’ll have to go back to u21 as there will be lads playing both minor and u20 if that’s the case. Waterford had around 10 lads from their all Ireland winning minor team last year starting for their u20s this year

U15 Cork Red playing Dublin in Semi final in Nenagh, final later in the afternoon

U15 Cork White playing Clare in Final in Roscrea Saturday morning

Don’t know what the competitions are called but both Cork teams are out of the top Arrabawn competition.

Cork White beat Clare 6-20 to 1-7
Cork Red beat Dublin and playing Laois now in the final.

There is
u15 Arrabawn Cup A - No cork team qualified for this (as u said this is the top tier)

U15 Arrabawn Cup B - Cork Red playing Laois in Final now.

U15 Arrabawn Shield A - No cork team in this

U15 Arrabawn Shield B - Cork white won this.

There also a load of John Doyle competitions - no cork teams involved.
