Was up in Dublin yesterday for the camogie final, a great day out but My God Almighty what an absolute shithole that place has become especially around Croke Park, Summerhill, Parnell Street. Litter that has clearly been there for weeks or months everywhere. It's like the streets are never cleaned or else Dubs just fuck all their domestic rubbish on to the street.
I'm not joking the place was like one of those awful UK cities you'd end up in for a stag or a match, shite plastic signage, manky looking kebab shops that you wouldn't go into in a hazmat suit. Wizened junkies on every corner, Yup Bros on e-scooters eyeing up potential targets, cars driving aggressively scaring the shit out of fans walking to the stadium, dodgy feckers trying to sell bits of paper as tickets as if it was 1999. Multiple security guards in every shop and scumbags roaring at staff.
It's not without it's problems, but made me feel so much better about Cork. Dublin is a complete lost cause if that's how they present their city on one of the biggest sporting days of the GAA calendar. A shameful representation of Ireland.
