What does this even mean? So if have the numbers and some foreigners/immigrants are committing more crime then it is ok to be racist??? I know that is not what you mean but I don't think you are actually splitting out the issues as they should be.

Why is getting the statistics on nationality of perpetrators of serious crimes carried out in this country problematic?

It's never OK to be racist. Discriminating against anyone because of their peaceful religion or skin colour or ethnicity, is imho, a very stupid thing to do.

But it's far worse to carry out serious crimes like murder, serious assault, gang rape, attempted murder etc.

If the wind can be taken out of the racist "Them furriners are only over here committing multiple crimes" sails by the production of evidence that immigrants are only as likely, or even less likely, to commit serious crimes as our native population then it will completely undermine racists.

If, however, the amount of serious crimes they're involved in are substantially more per capita than the natives that means we are letting too many serious criminals come to our shores and something dramatic needs to change in our immigration policies.

One more scumbag is one too many as we've enough criminals of our own but if stats can show that there's nothing more to fear from Morrocans, Australians, Americans, Mexicans, Syrians etc than from our own then people who are having their fears whipped up unnecessarily can rest a lot easier - No?

Post up the details and then either they'll show that the brown/yellow/black/white/pink man here in Ireland is generally just the same as his neighbour or they won't.

I have little doubt that across the world people are pretty much the same generally. There's good and bad where e'er you go. But IF we are importing a higher percentage of scumbags from abroad than we have here already our Immigration Policies need to be overhauled pronto.

Unsubstantiated theories on everything from racist motivated accusations, claims that the world is flat, the moon is made out of cheese, and even that Rangers are simply the best, can all be utterly shot down with evidence LS. When people do not want evidence to be compiled, then they fear the truth, for whatever reason.

By your accusing others in the wrong of creating an excuse for racism, you're actually undermining the fight against actual racism and racists. Not sure are you doing it to be edgy or maybe be part of something that boppy likes to call a circle jerk, or what. But it's not big and it's not clever.
