Backrooms 8/10

Clark,an architect come furniture sales man, discovers a hidden entrance to a mysterious liminal space beneath in his shop basement.

Curiosity gets the better of him and heads off exploring,but the deeper into the maze he goes the more bizarre his surroundings get.

First Obsession and now the Backrooms,this resurgence of new wave horror is something to behold. I think this one has much deeper philosophical layers to it and would be worth a second viewing. Chiwetel Ejiofor puts in an unbelievable performance

Really enjoyed it.

The Furious 5.5/10

Wafer thin plot about 2 Kung Fu Charlie's that go on a The Raid style rescue mission to save their girlfriend/daughter.

Great action sequences in fairness and there's one scene where I was like "yeah that's pretty cool". Offers nothing new to the genre but I like this schlock

Ben Hur on blu ray they did a lovely restoration job on it.

The generation that gave us pink haired weirdos, paedophile apologists, pronoun proliferation, 72 genders and safe spaces sum it all up with a mess of a movie, much like the world they have made for themselves, in an attempt to carve out some cultural significance.
