Russia's unjustifiable war of aggression in Ukraine

Dart makes some serious points there. The threshold of war is very low for a superpower to attack a smaller country when the agressor knows that the small country cannot hit the homeland of the agressor. Would Bush have attacked Iraq if the Iraquis could hit the US homeland. This was the calcculus for Putin but the couragous and Ingenius Ukrainians have turned that Premise on it head as Ukrainian missiles now range over all of Russia . If Putin is still around ( which I doubt)he will have to ask the Ukrainians for permission to hold his next may day parade. In the meantime Moldova, the Baltic states and even europe can sleep more easily.

@catcha any word on why the defence mi Uster is getting the boot? Ukranians are very pissed off!

PM change. All ministers are going bang and Fedorov is not confirmed to keep the post under the new PM.

Internal politics of Ukraine is being in recent weeks overtaken by nationalists. Zelensky is trying to get votes from the far right to keep majority as his ratings are falling. Personally I believe he is on some sort of power trip thinking that after the US backed out fully "they" are the sole reason of recent success in the war. But in fairness the front did not change at all. It is bizarre that despite recent years, they are coming back to soviet/oligarch type of politics. They seem to be getting rid of most of Western thinking people and not sure what they want to achieve by this. The drama with Poland is a shot not in the foot but in the hip. Good luck with accessing the EU or any reasonable deal with NATO.
They also have now beef with new HUN government, Bulgaria, chill relations with Romania, Turkey etc.

This is simply stupid as they seem to confuse (shrinking) support from the masses with the "power" of Ukraine.

Really stupid move. Ukraine was never, and never be at the table. Ukraine is fully dependent on help from abroad. Ukraine will never be in position of Poland for example, which they try to use to discredit recently.

If someone wants, can find my posts from around three years ago explaining it. The Ukrainian government is delusional and they apply the soviet type of politics right now.

But hey hey, as long as they are kicking arses of russians I do not give a damn. They do not see how nicely they are being played out by "the old EU". After a few years Europe is nearly fully prepared in case of Mordor doing their tricks against it. Cocky statements from Zelensky and his government are laughable. One recent comment to Zelensky's statement that "if not Ukraine russians would now be in Baltics and Poland" has had a really good riposte: "sure, let them through then". If you have a closer look, the support from the Eastern flank has significantly dropped recent months, as Ukraine stopped respecting their agreements and acting as they were some super power. They are not, they will never be with that mentality.

It is clear view what "Eastern Europe" really is to all those claiming for example that V4 is Eastern Europe. Totally different culture and mentality.

Yes, it comes from me.

and to add on top of it above, check this video on what is it all about with ridiculous recent UA behaviour:

OUN UPA were Nazi collaborators and murderers. The UA is trying to make it symmetrical which is laughable. OUN UPA murdered 100.000 civilians in cooperation with the Nazis: mostly Poles, but also Jews, Slovaks, Ruthenians, Hungarians. They claim they were "the warriors against Soviets" sure... they killed up to 8.000 Soviets. They claim that Polish Home Army was doing the same to Ukrainians. But the fact is that it was absolutely marginal reaction from some minor troops at that time as a revenge. And... it is taught in Polish schools and condemned.
They claim that Pilsudski was terrorizing them, but in fact Pilsudski had agreement with new Ukraine after 1918 and liberated Kyiv with Petlura (Ukrainian) army. Ukrainians fecked it over and then decided to create a new country with Belarus and russia --> the USSR.
They are picking only bits of history which are comfortably matching their current narration, but that works internally only as all other involved have it all well documented and it is a known fact they cannot dispute. The exhumations for example, which are not allowed in general to be done by the Polish archeologists would simply prove the scale of atrocities they did when they were working with Nazis to cleanse the Eastern Poland (for over 1000 years Polish), nowadays Western Ukraine (around 100years Ukrainian including post WW2 time) from the Poles and Jews.

Imagine if Poles who were pushed by Stalin to the West would decide to slaughter all the German population there as how Ukrainians were doing in the lands lost in the East.

I have some personal view on it too as my great grandfather was from the land now being Ukraine and which never been Ukraine in the past. They changed centuries old names of the towns too to erase the memory of what towns those were originally built and inhabited by. Examples: Lwów -> Lviv, Stanisławów -> Ivano-Frankivsk, Krystynopol -> Sheptytskyi.
Surely there are many people having sentiment to those lands, I moved on.
It is absolutely disgusting when Ukrainians are claiming that Polish heritage of the lands like castles and palaces are Ukrainian (and at the same time claiming that the ones who built them were the "Polish oppressors"). It would be same hilarious if Poles would claim Wroclaw architecture (former Breslau - two names were functioning for centuries) is Polish heritage xD. But they are in process of erasing that history started by the Soviets. So the castles from the former Kingdom of Poland borderlands are now being claimed by them to be "the Ukrainian culture examples", examples below - try to find any similarity to the Ukrainian style:

zamek w łucku

zamek chocim - twierdza
Twierdza Kamieniec Podolski

Zamek w Podhorcach

Lwów was called "little Kraków" not only architecturally but culturally. Whoever was in Kraków and have seen also Lwów will know what I mean exactly. People from Lwów were displaced by Soviets to Wrocław (including full institutions like University), and Wrocław/Breslau citizens were pushed out to Germany.
It is complicated and difficult topic. What stands out that Poles and Germans could get into agreement and live like civilized neighbours back again, but Ukrainians are acting maggot and do not want to admit and recognize the history of those lands.
