Household bin charges up 70 euros this year as a direct consequence of this scam

So not only are you having the hassle of taking your rubbish to these cursed machines then you are being hit with extra bin charges on top.

Its telling the only fella here arguing in favour is a fully paid up Fianna Fail member. Ycnmiu.

If bin charges are rising because refuse companies don’t make enough money as they can no longer sell old cans and plastic bottles to recyclers.. does that mean that re-turn are making additional income from selling these containers to the recyclers?

Think that might already be factored in in the partnership between retailers and producers running the scheme 🤷‍♂️

Or here’s a novel idea. Dublin City Council invest in better bins and more litter wardens.
Daft stuff. A massive outlay on new bins and wardens to solve a recent policy-created problem. Private residents' own green bins are being scavenged as well. Mainly Eastern European gypsies walking onto private properties and starting to go through bins. Would you be arguing that the residents get "better bins" and hire private security?

So you’re saying Dublin was never littered before the Return scheme?
