Blisters like a nettle sting?

Years ago I was caught on the foot by a compass jellyfish. Weeks later any hot water from the shower still hurt.

The problem they used to have a few years back in Spain was there was no clearly defined international word for jellyfish. They used to put up red flags but people couldn’t see anything wrong so would go in anyway. One day this French lad went in and was stung from head to toe. Brutal.

Those compass jellyfish are absolute bassas alright. Maybe it's just me but I don't remember jellyfish being a thing when we were kids. People being stung by them when out swimming were as rare as hen's fillings.

What purpose do jellyfish serve - they're the wasp of the ocean. C*nts! Are turtles the only thing that eat them? Wouldn't it be brilliant if seagulls could be trained to eat jellyfish as well - at least make the noisy barstewards useful!

The word originated from Roman or Greek mythology.
It referred to some woman who had snakes instead of hair on her head afaicr.
Maybe the Spanish word came from a Latin interpretation of the word as Spanish is one of Europe's Latin based languages.

They play a part in the world's ecosystem which humans have totally fcuked up. Turtle population who feed on jellyfish diminishing which has resulted in more of the annoying sea occupants.

Finally made it to the outdoor pool In Carraig na Bhfear.

Fantastic amenity.

it was 16 quid for 40 mins, for me and 2 kids.

You need a hat, keep an eye on their Facebook it's hourly slots and some are for lane swimming some for public swims.
