“I had people come up and tell me that the protestors had done something special and had given them hope.” He recalled one woman telling him it was “the first time in years that she could see some hope as a single mother living in North inner city Dublin. Hope that something would change from what we had done.”
From observations on the ground as a media outlet, SnD Media noted a clear contrast: while relatively few people approached An Taoiseach Micheál Martin, significantly more members of the public sought out James Geoghegan, John Dallon and Christopher Duffy for photographs and to offer support for their work during the fuel demonstrations.
One supporter emphasised strongly that, “they had inspired a nation.”
The feedback highlights ongoing frustrations within the farming community and wider society over issues such as carbon taxes, rising costs, and the perceived disconnect between grassroots concerns and official engagement.
Which made me think, are the dip shit NGO's actually running the politics in this country?
Is that one of the reasons that Government’s loose touch, being too busy entertaining vested interests ?
