Well well its good to see that Corkonians are as fiery and loyal to their county as they ever were. Our April Fools spoof generated a massive reaction from users, some caught...most copped it in the nick of time. Thanks to everybody who emailed, your concern and/or appreciation is greatly appreciated ! We had to redden yer faces a little more so here's a selection of some of the emails we received today from Corkonians, some who were nabbed some who twigged it in time.....

 
Is this a joke? I cannot believe ye are doing this to the site! It saddens and sickens me! The format and target audience was specific and should never change.
Why couldnt ye bring out yer own web site and marketing without destroying a proven one. Compeditive market? Commercial interests at heart I see!

Lads, ye sold out! Its a sad day. QM had no reason to do this only to take out the competition for purely commercial interest. Its as plain as day in the email that members were sent. I also nearly threw-up when I saw what the site had in store for us in the future. Im disgusted with it, and hope the frustration and anger amongst all Corkonians out there will lead ye think again. And theres a lot of anger out there. What a dissapointment and a sad end to a brilliant site. And I mean end, because this is the end of the road for it. What comes next will be a commercially driven anglo site that wont have any community at heart. Ye have lost a lot of fans!

You fucking sell outs! This website was the best website in Ireland by a mile, many times I have gone to to sleep laughing at the articles you write in the Echo and on the website. Why oh why have you done this to us?Will the Osama Bin Murphy sketches be continued even with a "more general audience" ??? Very disappointed.

OK, I just logged on this morning (I'm in Sydney) and nearly had a heart attack. So you think you can make West Brits and Jackeens of us do ya??? A 30 minute state of outrage and trauma followed which was made even worse by the gloating of my Tipperary flatmate. Just as I was about to post my vehement comments in your discussion forum, it dawned on me... Nice one feens and beors - I was had!!!!
For God's sake KEEP IT CORK!!!
