Chemist Offers Ear Plugs for One Direction
20th May 2014
If you’re not a hormonal spotty teenage girl you may not know that British boy band One Direction are playing in Croke Park this weekend. Three times.
Attempts to cash in on concerts usually revolve around certain predictable tat: t-shirts, banners, headscarves, flags, vibrators etc but one Cork pharmacy has proffered a strong opinion on the band by offering a product for the parents of concert goers: ear plugs.

Although a sign in the window of the North Gate Pharmacy on North Main Street modestly suggests it’s for the screams and not the music, parents bringing their hyper ventilating young ones to gaze longingly at the five young crooners will be glad of the attenuation when the mushy cringy lyrics start booming around Croker.
If you forget your earplugs we’d suggest tuning into coverage of the latest news from the equally anticipated Kilbrittain V Newcestown Premier intermediate hurling clash below in Bandon. Throw-in at 7pm.
Shhh....Kilbrittain are up by a point... |
