Chomsky Endorses Corkonian Independence
Comrade Andrew O'Leary
Speaking in the Massachusetts Instituite of Technology, Sunday, April 9th, Noam Chomsky, recently voted the world's leading intellectual, lent his support to the centuries old struggle for Corkonian independence.
While usually confining his remarks to the weighty arena of US foreign Policy, Chomsky's affinity with the travails of the People's Republic could not be doubted, as a snapshot of his written works would reveal.

His most recent book 'Failed States' could possibly be a depicition of Cork city centre circa 2am each Sunday, while the bestselling 'Power and Terror' is obviously an accurate depiciton of the 2005 Cork forward line. Controversy continues to dog the scholar, however, and he clearly refused to be drawn on whether or not his 1968 'American Power & The New Mandarins' really was a critique of capitalism's impact on the Coal Quay's fruit prices.
