Cloud Spotted Over Cork

There was widespread panic on Leeside this afternoon as several small clouds were spotted above the city centre.

City Council officials have launched an investigation into why the clouds have been allowed into Cork airspace and will issue a report as soon as possible. It is hoped that a solution can be found before the situation gets out of hand with many advocating the deployment of the Navy and Army.

Why so cirrius?

Locals on Patrick Street who saw the small clouds are fuming.

“S’a disgrace boy. What’ll it be next?”, said Máiréad Ní Bhán (24), “rain or something, like we used to have in the old days? I was planning on getting sunburned over the weekend but it looks like I might have to make plans.I'm devastated.”

Gerard Barry Harrington, a taxi driver, said it wasn't the fault of immigrants but up to the government to do something.

Crisis point: terror clouds hover over Cork.

That crowd up in Dublin are responsible for this”, he said, “if I see one more cloud I’m going to set my dogs on Cork TDs and the rest of that shower of langers. They’re only in it for the money. No wonder the young people are leaving the country in their droves.”

A crisis meeting is to be held by emergency services and progress of the small band of clouds is being monitored closely – Corkonians can follow its progress on Twitter #corkcloudpanic
