DCU Saints about to be pounded by the Cork men |
The Cork Admirals first game this season was against the mighty Belfast Bulls in Belfast back in March where they have never beaten the Bulls at home. The Admirals came away after a hard fought game with a victory 13-6 which is a huge success on pervious games played in Belfast. Their next test for the Admirals is against old rivals and league Champions of 2006 the Dublin Rebels on the Sunday 29 April away.
The Admirals played against the Rebels in the Semi-finals last year and scored more points against them than any other team and only with their third string Quarterback.
And since that game the Admirals have invested their time into development and growth of the club in Cork by training in new Coaches, setting up a youth flag team and two new senior flag teams in UCC and CIT local colleges along with huge recruitment drive with a second public open try out date on Sunday 20th May at Kennedy Park at 11am-1pm.
The Club has never looked stronger and determined to win on the road to the hamrock Bowl on July 29th.
