DJ Definitely Making Tune Better With Mysterious Non-Stop Adjustments to Mixer
24th Jan 2025
Cork techno stalwart DJ Tweaky insists he works hard during every set to positively enhance each track he plays by constantly making seemingly pointless adjustments on his mixer.
Issuing a lengthy press release in response to suggestions that he’s “doing fuck all” despite making highly dramatic movements with his shoulders, elbows and wrists while he’s DJing, the Carrigaline native says his subtle tweaks make each track sound “way better”.
Although there is no discernible change to the sound coming through the speakers at the venues he DJs in, Tweaky insists the contribution is positive and isn’t his personal insecurities and overwhelming doubts about his "talent" that result in him trying to look really busy when there’s acutally no need to be doing anything until the current seven minute minimal techno track is nearly over.
“Some langer said I’m like Australian breakdancer Raygun trying to land a damaged helicopter in a storm. Bet that prick has never had to play a 135bpm Layton Giordani track on a hornloaded QX-3 2 system with MF-15A sub-woofers and only ONE CX-1A monitor.”
