Rowan Murphy (centre) had a chance meeting with this feen and his three old dolls in Thailand recently. One old doll was clearly uncomfotable with his left hand....worth a try though...doubcha kid!

Dear Editor,

I was on holiday in Thailand last November with one of my intentions being a visit to The Full Moon Party in Koh Pha-ngan. It's an island in the Gulf of Thailand that holds a beach party every full moon. Being a proud Cork man from Millstreet I felt it was necessary to fly the flag while over there. November 8th 2003 was a brilliant night despite the fact that I had been nursing a major hangover from the night before.

The sun had come up, people were preparing to leave so I decided to take a stroll along the beach before regrouping with my friends and heading away myself. The music was still blaring but I suddenly heard the distict sounds of familiarity coming over the noise. "How's it goin' boy. are you from Cork"? A photo oppertunity if there ever was one. I'm the guy with the hair. The rest were from Mallow. Small world. I never met them before but the thought that we all had the same idea ended the party on a high note for me.
