Get Your Flags Out for the Lads

With just three days to go to the All Ireland final every store on Patrick Street
has received a PROC Emergency Support Pack. We're hoping to announce at least
a 80% turnout by Friday evening. Maybe even higher.
Some stores, like River Island, who have never shown their support for Cork events
are only decking out their shops on Saturday and Sunday BUT bear in mind that
this is a big change for some "major retail brandnames" and corporate
paranoia and highly paid PR people trying to justify their existence often present
seemingly insurmountable obstacles to meaningful community participation.
Thankfully, nearly
all Pana stores are managed by Corkonians so having asked for the 'store manager'
the battle is half won when a Cork accent answers the call. The majority of
them were enthusiastic, had to check with somebody but would accept a free flag
and bunting and cautiously agree to do something with it.
