Jazz Fest Anthropology Update

There’s an interesting new species on the Cork music scene called the Murrayeah Shoredtich Head that has been spotted on Leeside of late. The jazz festival is sure to increase sightings….

He went to London once and visited Shoreditch because he heard it was cool. There were hipsters everywhere cycling around on kid sized bikes, wearing oversized retro headphones and stupid goofy sunglasses. It’s all supposed to be ironic of course and irony is apparently cool these days but this fella from Cork was FIERCE impressed with the whole thing.

Anyway when he came back the poor feen got carried away with himself and now he’s showing everyone in Cork “how it’s done”.

So kewl.

‘What’s wrong with spending thirty-five minutes every day trying to get into a pair of jeans four sizes too small for you?’, he ponders as he glosses over Paul Galvin’s fashion column.

You can spot these creatures in Cork quite easily even from a distance and from behind. The compulsory accessory is a small light retro keyboard.

The sensible thing would be to put it in a proper case in case it gets rained on or pigeons colour it from above but then nobody will know that he ‘plays synth’ so it is very carefully arranged so that the top of the keyboard peeps out from the flap of the oops-its-a-little-bit-too-small nap sack. Kewl, man.

Like heroin it was inevitable that they would reach Cork at some stage
