Kilimanjaro Conquered for Cork
While some of you sat in your offices working for the man last week fiddling with your keyboard, mouse and other twiddly bits all day some Corkonians were undertaking loyal and noble adventures on behalf of the Peoples Republic.
Have a lamp off this feen called Cian O'Mahony who conquered Kilimanjaro in Tanzania for you, citizens of the PRC. This is a place that lies south of Santa Ponza and the peak (allegedly) even colder than North Main St. on a February morning.

For his life endangering work and with no cause in mind but that of his county and its pending independence from Dublin Cian O'Mahony will no doubt have reserved himself a seat at the Cork table in heaven with Jack Lynch, Terrence McSweeney and Christy Ring. Clearly he has a lot of living to do yet and we would encourage him to set his goals even higher for his next adventure: walking on the moon wearing a PRC t-shirt.
Pure high but being realistic its probably not a patch on Gouganbarra |
Expanding the territory of Cork is something we don't take lightly here at PRC central....but at the same time if any feens or beors have some territory they're thinking of claiming for the republic please don't hesitate to email us the drunken details and we'll add it to the consitution and gallery with little regard for detail, geography or diplomacy.
Cian has set up a website if you want to read about his preperations, equipment and whether he met any flahs on the journey. Have a sconse off www.outthegap.com for more pics.
You can also see evidence of many other noble and not so noble adventures by Corkonians in our gallery.
Keep it Cork.
