KISS to Cook (Keep It Simple Sweetheart)
A Celebrity Recipe book with a difference in aid of Breast Cancer Care
A Celebrity recipe book with a difference is being launched by Mr. Pat Falvey
(Mountaineer / Explorer) in the Boardwalk Bar and Grill on Friday the 13th of
November. The recipes within the book have been donated by famous Irish Men.
All the proceeds from this book will be donated to the Breast Cancer Care Fund
in the South Infirmary.
KISS to Cook is the brainchild of Aedín Johnston who herself
suffered breast cancer in 2008.
During the different surgeries and subsequent recovery Aedin felt an immense
gratitude to the staff in the South infirmary Hospital Cork for the kind care
she received there during her treatment.
Watching her husband Philip coping with cooking for their family when she couldnt
do so, helped her to understand how difficult it is for people when they are
thrown into this domestic situation.
When Aedin wanted to fundraise for the Breast Care Fund in the South Infirmary
the idea came to her of asking famous Irish Men what they would cook for their
family given the same circumstances. Thus the idea for the book was born.
The main aim for this superb book is to fundraise. However it is also interesting
to see the eclectic collection of recipes that these men cook for their families.
The recipes are user-friendly and would add variety to any family menu.
KISS to Cook will cost 10 euro, every single cent of which will be donated to the Breast Care Fund in the South Infirmary.
