Obama Hurler T-shirt Launch
When Chief Recession architect Brian Cowen of the oppressive Dublin regime met Barrack Obama in the White House on Paddys Day 2009 the number one issue at the time was the Cork hurling dispute. Through subtle body language, including the Masonic and infamous Shandon Street shuffle (widely promoted by former resident and Taoiseach Jack Lynch) Obama indicated his support for Gardiner, Cusack and the boys.
Any doubts about his message of support were cast aside when he uttered the phrase 'Is Féidir Linn' the Irish language version of his well-known presidential election campaign catchphrase 'yes, we can'.
The decision to use Irish indicated the Obama administration's solidarity with the players' battle against the Cork County Board - Donal Óg Cusack, the moral leader of the Cork hurlers, himself a competent Irish speaker along with stalwart and gaelgóir Seán Óg Ó hAilpín also at the forefront of the debacle.
To thank President Obama, his Christian name taken from one of Cork's oldest areas, Barrack Street, we have created this unique PROC t-shirt to encourage all Rebels to remain steadfast in their beliefs about the future of Gaelic games and language in the most successful GAA county of all time.
