PROClamation of The People's Republic - GPO Cork Event Commemorated Several Years Later

Around 2002 A.D., just a few years after the birth of this site a group of brave and gallant (and possible baloobas and gatting) volunteers who had formed a secret revolutionary army on our online forum posted the following proclamation on the wall of the GPO on Oliver Plunkett Street in Cork*.

Afterwards they retired to the Hi-B to assess the enormous impact of their actions where the bodies of some them still remain as a shrine.

100 years on (give or take 80-90 years) we commemorate their actions and ponder the historical ramifications of that wild night. PROC will host a series of lectures and commemorative events through out the next decade to recognise the extraordinary challenges and difficulties those feens and beours faced.  

Many of the children conceived that night will be involved in the ceremonies and heads of state from other major world powers such as Tibet, Jamaica, Burkina Faso and The Peeples Mini-Republic of Clonakilty will attend.
