Sound It Out: Band Comptetition

SOUND IT OUT! is a new springboard event for up and coming bands looking to get themselves out there and onto the Festival circuit this Summer

Launched by three venues in Cork City, The Roundy, Bourbon Street and An Realt Dearg, SOUND IT OUT, will be shining the spotlight on emerging talent in the vibrant Cork music scene whilst at the same time giving musicians the opportunity to play at number of festivals later on this year.

With prizes including support slots at the Cork International Folk Festival, The Lughnasa Music Festival (and more coming in all the time), radio interviews and promotion, this inaugural event promises three bands the chance to be heard by a large audience on the big stage along with all the press and promotion that goes with it

Starting on Monday 21st February, thirty six bands will be picked to play in three venues, The Roundy, Bourbon Street and An Realt Dearg, over a four week period with judges at each venue picking the best bands to go through to a quarter - final, semi - final and grand - final which will be held on Thursday 14th April at The Pavillion, Cork.
