What do you mean you haven’t had a chance to get in there yet?! After a year’s leave of absence the Murphys Spiegeltent returns to Cork, on the grounds of the old Beamish brewery until Sunday June 26^th and has a line-up to make any music fan lick their lips.

Cap Pas Cap

Cap Pas Cap make music laced with tension and unease, driven by propulsive motorik rhythms, skittering guitar, cascading synth sounds and insouciant vocals. Yet amidst the maelstrom of this dark-wave sonic assault they retain an uncanny pop sensibility at their core. While their antecedents can be traced back to a post punk milieu and the creative vapour trails that followed, Cap Pas Cap do not simply ape their heroes. Rather, through a distillation of influences they have arrived at a sound and dynamic that is wholly and unmistakably their own. Cap Pas Cap don’t just want to party, they want to party hard and deep into the cold dark night.

L’Orchestre d’Hommes-Orchestres

Armed with the colourful repertoire of uncategorizable American music icon Tom Waits, Quebec City’s L’Orchestre d’Hommes-Orchestres offer an event that is more of a carnival show or musical circus than just a concert. This bustling orchestra performs the music of Tom Waits using nearly 100 objects and invented instruments on stage, which they hammer and caress in madcap scenes of unbridled energy.

Delicious w/ Anita Williams & Rouge followed by Doubletime with Dj Gary Baus.

Delicious is a WILD night out; a mash up between theatre, performance, music and clubbing…it’s the moment where performance and clubbing come together in a head on collision. It’s a frenzy of ecstatic delight and deep down n’ dirty party mania – it’s the festival party showdown ranging from the sublime to the heart-warming, to the get up on your feet and just dance.
