An estimated 35,000 Corkonians jammed the streets of Cork City last night as the Cork Senior hurling team made their way from Kent Station to the stage on the corner of Parnell Place and South Mall signing thousands of jerseys, sliotars, footballs and bare skin as they went.

Tim O'Riordan played the Langer Song as a tribute to goalkeeper Donal â€g Cusack's solid middle member which blocked a rasper from Henry Shefflin when Cork were just three points clear. Having made the super save with his ding dong Donal ”g still had the wits to rise the ball and pass it out to Wayne Sherlock. Must be all that viagra he's making in Pfizer every week...
