After a superb audience response during the lunchtime theatre Season, Son of Derry Ruler of None returns to the Cork Arts Theatre in its full length Version this September.

A poignant, engaging and compelling show, the play tells the story of Jimmy O'Shaunessy, an unwitting bike messenger for the IRA from a young age.

Jimmy in his adult life is forced to make a choice that will cause him to flee Derry and devastate not only his life but also the lives of the generation to follow.

Forced into a marriage with a woman that he describes as "only good for riding and cleaning." Jimmy, his wife and 15 children embark on a new life in Cork, but unfortunately the events of the past have a way of dictating the future.

Son of Derry Ruler of None promises to be an engaging, funny, heartbreaking theatre event not to be missed.
