The 1981 Hunger Strike, in which ten men gave their lives in the struggle for political status, irreversibly shaped the political developments for decades to come.

1981’ is a one-man-show with actor/writer Tony Devlin accompanied by musician Barry Kerr and “superb visual playbacks of a period when Ulster and the hunger strike was front page news throughout the world”.
