GDI productions, in association with the Everyman Palace Theatre Cork, is honoured to present the World Premiere Production of “Guerilla Days In Ireland” by Tom Barry, adapted for the stage by Neil Pearson. It opens at the theatre on August 23rd and runs until September 3rd.
Admired by Che Guevara, feared by the British Army, loved by the people he led, Tom Barry, legendary Commander of the West Cork Flying Column, survived the War of Independence to tell his incredible story.
“Guerilla Days in Ireland” is Barry’s compelling first-hand account of the struggle for independence in Cork, the rebel county. Now this international best-seller has its first ever stage adaptation. Barry led a volunteer army in a hide-and-seek campaign of guerilla warfare matching wits against an enemy of overwhelming strength and power.
Featuring Brendan Conroy, Michael Grennell, Aidan O’Hare and Jack Walsh, “Guerilla Days in Ireland” is directed by Neil Pearson, designed by Olan Wrynn and produced by Maria Young.
“Guerilla Days In Ireland” is at the Everyman Palace Theatre, Cork from Tuesday 23rd August to Saturday September 3rd (excluding Sunday 28th August).Tickets €25 Concession €20 Opening Night €15 Students €7 (Monday - Wednesday).
