LITTLE GEM
Tue 8 - Sat 19 June@8pm
Love, sex, birth, death, dildos and salsa classes: three generations of Dublin
women on a wild and constantly surprising journey.
An extraordinary year of courage, comedy and romance in the award-winning hit of the 2008 Dublin Fringe Festival.
Kays got an itch that Gem cant scratch (but maybe Kermit can)
Lorraine attacks a customer at work and her boss wants her to see a psychiatrist
Amber has fierce bad indigestion and the Sambucas arent getting
rid of it. And then theres Paul, the bollix, who is just using Amber until
he can get to Australia
the hairy man who fancies Lorraine but fails
to rise to the occasion
and Gem who doesnt like the neighbours
coming in to mind him. If all that wasnt bad enough, Little
Gem makes his presence felt and life is never the same again
"the play rang so many bells that the Everyman Palace reverberated with laughter from 8pm through to 9.45pm, when the audience responded with a standing ovation"
Evening Echo
"The language is salty; the observations spot on, and there is much
humour."
