The Cork Academy of Music is a Music and Arts Centre located in the North Monastery Campus, Cork City. Since its inception in 1994, it has used music as a tool for social inclusion by providing access to music education to those who might not otherwise be able to study it. To date we have had over 2000 students study music here to a qualification standard and have seen many of those progress on to further education and work in the music industry in Ireland and abroad. We have 70+ adult students in full and part-time training daily and 500+ children in training around the city as part of our outreach programme in partnership with Music Generation Cork City. Every Christmas we put on a big concert, showcasing the immense talent and hard work the students have put in all year. Expect a high energy evening of rock, pop and folk music. Tickets are 10 euro and there will be a raffle with lots of great prizes to be won on the night.
