Ger Wolfe celebrates the release of his new single 'The Last Rose of Summer' with a short Irish Autumn tour taking in all four provinces, starting in Whitegate's Corkbeg Coffee on Friday September 6th.
A gentle and consistent voice on the Irish folk-roots scene, Ger Wolfe draws from the wells of traditional and contemporary music, creating ‘carefully crafted vignettes of song since his 1998 debut’ (Irish Times) including his well-loved ode to innocence ‘The Curra Road’ – a ‘classic of grace and simplicity which should become a folk standard’ (The Boston Globe)
Ger released his latest and ninth CD “The Morning Star” during the covid lockdowns and has finally gotten a chance to tour with it just this year. Featuring songs like ‘Hello Gorgeous' , the first single and songs of separation like 'When we were farming land' and 'The last Rose of Summer', the new single, Wolfe continues his musical adventures in the puzzling-out of the vicissitudes of life.
Prepare to be bedazzled by his unmistakable voice and inimitable guitar playing.
