Niamh Regan is set to embark on a full band tour this month, bringing her acclaimed second album, Come As You Are, to stages across Ireland. See her at Other Voices at the Guinness Storehouse (Nov 13th), Cyprus Avenue, Cork (Nov 14th), Liberty Hall Theatre (Nov 15th), and Róisín Dubh, Galway (Nov 16th).
Come As You Are, released via Faction Records, has garnered rave reviews both domestically and internationally. Critics are praising Regan's artistry and emotional depth:
“Come As You Are has Niamh Regan in total control of her artistic faculties and at the top of her game; she will be one to watch in the coming years... this is an album that needs to be heard, a project teeming with quiet intensity and resonance..." 9/10 The Line of Best Fit
“A powerful second album...Come As You Are’ is a delightful album full of delicate vocals, subtle hooks and exquisite instrumentation.” CLASH Magazine
"There's a touch of Laura Marling in her voice, something of John Martyn in her intonation and Nick Drake
in her guitar picking, the influence of everyone from Jeff Tweedy to Josh Ritter in her crafted storytelling…"
8/10 UNCUT Magazine
"...one of the most formidable forces in the Irish indie-folk scene… a pristine record which deals with faltering relationships, self-doubt, and love with exactitude and fearless candour." 9/10 Hot Press
“There’s hypnotic late-night deep synths, plus a woozy, bespangled hidden track. In all, intelligent and beautifully idiosyncratic” 4/5 Mojo Magazine
"Come As You Are is a brutally authentic work from a songwriter of the highest order."- KLOF Mag
The tour will feature special guests and promises an exhilarating live experience, showcasing the album’s themes of vulnerability and introspection—reflecting on self-doubt, life’s direction, and the complexities of relationships.
Inspired by artists like Julia Jacklin, Caroline Rose, and Wilco, Regan aimed for a richer, more expansive sound on this record. Come As You Are features standout tracks such as the string-assisted anthem “Waves,” the subtle electro-pop of “Nice,” and the dreamy “Music”—a song that showcases her expressive vocal elegance reminiscent of Jeff Tweedy.
After honing her stage presence in the wake of her debut, ‘Hemet’, Niamh explains the joy of releasing new music for her is performing it to a live audience, “It’s the best feeling and I think I’ll be chasing it for the rest of my life.
This month I play three very special shows to celebrate my second record 'Come As You Are'.
I will be performing this record with an incredible band and revisiting some of my favourite songs from my debut album also.
This is the biggest venue I've headlined in Cork and I'm proud to be bringing an incredible band to present the second record in it's entirety and to it's full potential. I have been so lucky to play in Cork many times over the years for different festivals and support slots but now this is a huge leap for me to headline Cyprus Avenue. I can't wait to give this show my all.”
The band will consist of renowned musical director and guitarist Jake Curran, Alma Kelliher (keys and vocals), Adam Taylor (bass), Dylan Lynch (percussion) and very special guest Chanele McGuinness on backing vocals and opening the shows.
Come as You Are is an album which is a confident step forward, full of songs with the spark to come alive on stage and with the immediacy to beckon newcomers into her world.
