In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Cork’s Gay Project, artist Billy Lingwood is partnering with a group of creative community members at the Gay Project in responding to this occasion with a co-creative art project inspired by the Irish Names AIDS Memorial Quilt.
This project is funded by Creative Ireland with a Creative Communities grant awarded by Cork City Council.For Culture Night 2024, St. Peter’s is hosting the group to exhibit fascinating archival materials, insightful research ideas along with work in progress.
The public is invited to participate at this stage of the project with a guided tour of the exhibition before adding their own creative input to the project via a pop-up workshop space.
