Stanley Super 800
Stanley Super 800 was formed by Eoin 'Stan' O'Sullivan not too long after his much loved band The Shanks parted ways. Stan started exploring his love for electronic music and honing his skills in the studio not long after The Shanks called it a day. The result was Stanley Super 800 which he formed with Ceilí All Star band mates Flor Rahilly and Michael 'Tosh' O'Sullivan. They released their first EP, called Moonlight in 2003 and after gigging for over a year with a drum machine, the band recruited Dave Hackett on drums just before the band's first album was released.
The first two records were very much electronically driven but with the addition of a live drummer the band's sound started to sway more towards indie rock with a healthy influence of Sliabh Luachra traditional music.
