The Academic have announced a one-off show in Cork to kickstart the Jazz Weekend 2024
Having toured across the world since releasing their hit laden debut album ‘Tales From The Backseat’ in 2018, The Academic’s sophomore record, ‘Sitting Pretty’ was released in February last year. Going straight to the top of the Irish album charts it gave the Westmeath quartet their second consecutive No.1 album.
Adding to the already impressive catalogue of indie anthems such as Bear Claws, Different, Why Can’t We Be Friends, ‘Sitting Pretty’ gives us even more big singalong’s such as ‘Don’t Take It Personally’, ‘My Very Best’ and ‘Pushing Up Daisies’ which have become some of the biggest festival songs this summer.
It’s been a busy year for the band having toured relentlessly across the world and the boys are excited to be on home soil.
