Fionnuala Moynihan is one of Ireland’s leading concert pianists, specialising in the works of baroque, classical and early romantic composers. Fionnuala is celebrated for her clarity of touch, her exploration of pianistic tones and colours, and her innate musical understanding and musicianship.
She will perform The Complete Chopin Nocturnes in two concerts.
Fionnuala Moynihan has given solo recitals and concerto performances throughout Ireland, the UK, France, Holland, Italy, Israel, U.S.A., Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Russia, Poland, Japan, Holland and Hungary.
One of Fionnuala’s main highlights was to perform the Complete Piano Sonatas of Mozart in the Hugh Lane Gallery, Dublin, in a series of five recitals in 2010. She was the first pianist to have undertaken the formidable challenge of performing this cycle in its entirety in Ireland. Since then, Fionnuala has performed nine complete solo piano series, performing the complete cycles by Mozart, Haydn, Clementi and Schubert.
In 2009 Dr Fionnuala Moynihan became the first person to be awarded a Doctorate in Music Performance from the Royal Irish Academy of Music and the Dublin City University. Fionnuala studied at the Birmingham Conservatoire,
