The Pocket Jazz Orchestra is a dynamic and evolving Manouche jazz ensemble based in Galway, Ireland. With a versatile lineup that can range from three to seven members, they deliver a unique blend of swing Manouche, classic jazz standards, and mellow, soulful tunes. The full band features two guitars, bass, clarinet, fiddle, keyboard, and up to three vocalists, bringing a rich and varied sound to their performances.
Founded just over a year ago, The Pocket Jazz Orchestra includes talented musicians hailing from Brazil, Spain, and Ireland. Their home base is The Salthouse pub in Galway, where they perform every other Saturday, captivating audiences with their lively and intimate performances. When they’re not on stage, they can occasionally be found busking the vibrant streets of Galway, spreading their music to the heart of the city.
