Welcome to Cork, Scots

PROC & Garreth Joyce

Kyrl's Quay/North Main Street, Cork City

There are close cultural ties between Ireland and Scotland - always apparent with the affection for Celtic FC, but less so in other cultural aspects like our native languages - both of which have been overtaken by English and traditional dancing. 'Failte Muinntir na h-Alba' means 'Welcome to Cork' in Scots-Gaelic which is almost identical to the Irish-Gaelic version "Fáilte Muintir na h-Alba".
