Cork Midsummer Festival 2021

I watched a thing a few nights ago called Prometheus Now. Not my kind of thing at all, but herself wanted to see it. Far too abstract for my generally limited mental capacity.

Congrats to all on another successful Midsummer Festival!

Programme for this year is out now.

Booked tickets for the corcadorca thing. Will bring the kids to the parade. Not sure about anything else as yet.

can't wait - great to have festivals back on this year.. defo going to Frankenstein; how to make a monster and A Safe Passage... have to take a closer look at the prog to see what else might interest me.. Corcadorca's stuff is usually A1 - their last play in the Triskel b4 xmas was excellent

The parade yesterday was great fun. Kids really loved it. 289947823_10158789861761074_5943816953565637776_n.jpg289848094_10158789867211074_7072290377606747219_n.jpg

The Corcadorca play was more of a mixed bag. It moved location from the opera house to the triskel, which I didn't think worked at all. They would have been better to stage it in one place or the other imo.

The acting was generally excellent, though Gina Moxley spoke with a very staccato tone which grated a little.

Overall, well worth attending but maybe not one that will stay with me.
