If this "event" ever even happened it will be both logged in the Department and Ministers diary and perhaps this latest anecdotal phantom of your does not even exist unless you can prove otherwise.

The chances of a top level director or employee from one of the top 3 biggest building contractors in the country sharing this confidential contractual information with you or anyone in a public setting is highly unlikely for many reasons.

You do know that hospitals can have different buildings don't you, and that increased space allows the ramp up in number of patients that can be dealt with. Nobody is suggesting building a quarter of each department. Build the critical departments required across all surgeries first. Then accomodation for extra wards can be built subsequently along with more specialised units.

And the Minister refusing to sign off to try salvage something from the mess was also a contributory factor of why we are where we are today with still no patients being treated there many years, and many billions of Euros on. But don't worry Statty tells us that "it has in fact been "built" and is just being finished.

Latest guestimate is 2025 - wonder how much "teething problems" will be excused after the years of over-run

Will the Govt hold on until the NCH is opened - will it be opened if if it's not quite finished but can be covered up with "teething problems"?

The new NCH is just one building.


There are no "wards" just in-patient bedrooms adjacent to all the integrated relevant services.


The "Minister" is not running or involved in the construction of the NCH (How many times do you need to be told this?).

I can only assume that being a fully determined and seriously committed utter moron at all times is a very strict prerequisite for being a member of Sinn Fein.

He just wants the surgeons to carry out life-changing surgery on the kids and then just take them off somewhere in a van or something to another location to recover and hope that there is an available bed and sure they can just build all the "wards" (That are not even in the plans) at a later stage.

Your post-op could be in Leitrim or Kerry if you survive the trip.

He is just a fully-certified barmpot and luckily he is not in charge of anything important to all our wellbeing.
